Absentia in travel.
For any of you still relying on the XML feed, you're markedly patient. You may have to remain that way for a while sadly.
One drag about the recent show swap was that my show lost its fill-in, which I realized too late to react accordingly to scamper back to the station, though I was ill at the time. So, there's a lost week somewhere. Whilst I was travelling, I did have Henry take over the reins, though no podcast was generated at the time. The playlist he did looked tight, so if anyone's curious, I can share it.

A tribute to the country of Iceland, which I recently visited, though primarily Reykjavík with a sidetrip out to Þingvellir. I need to sort out photos from that trip, but the focus from my jetlagged soul is on the dreamy sounds, including Björk's soundtrack work for Dancer in the Dark and Drawing Restraint 9.

rfg #77 - Beethoven's Sixth? O sweet blasphemy [83.3 Mb]
In tribute to the recent passing of John Hughes, the main soundtrack profile is on Ferris Bueller's Day Off, which never had an official soundtrack release. Other new wave bits appear from National Lampoon's Vacation (which he didn't direct but wrote the screenplay based on his earlier piece Vacation 58), Pretty in Pink, She's Having a Baby and Sixteen Candles. And if you haven't seen this already, here's a remembrance from John Hughes' young pen pal.
