Rootsy fill-in.

As mentioned earlier, Val from the show Folk Oasis filled in for my show, offering to do so after all the times I covered her show when she was away. This show also allowed her to finally take care of a show swap that never was due to scheduling on her part. Otherwise, I'll let her describe the show; the Matti Nykänen track is a gloriously trashy number.
While your regular host enjoys winter holidays back east, I bring you a rootsy soundtrack to your week. Musical tribute paid to the great Athens, Georgia singer-songwriter Vic Chesnutt, who died Christmas Day. May he find the peace in rest that was so elusive in life.
Tonight's featured movie soundtrack was O Brother Where Art Thou. One of the best movies, and movie soundtracks of the past decade — well deserving of its Grammys. Delmar was my favourite character in the movie, so I made darn tootin' sure to include the song where he takes the lead vocals.
